I am mainly interested in phylogeny, phylogeography and evolutionary ecology of tropical anurans. My current research focuses on the phylogeny, evolution, and biogeography of the Hypsiboas polytaenius species group in the Cerrado vegetation of the Brazilian Shield. I intend to elucidate the biogeographic patterns and evolution of the frogs of this diverse and threatened Neotropical savanna.
I completed my master’s degree in 2007 at the Universidade de Brasília in Brazil, and my research focused on the population dynamics of two Bufo species in Cerrado and the influence of the climate and migrations, and the interactions between them.
