We study mostly the systematics and evolution of frogs, but also salamanders, birds and bird fossils, and in the past, lizards and snakes.

The general areas of research include phylogenomics, phylogeography, historical biogeography, acoustic communication, systematics and taxonomy, Neotropical frogs, behavioral ecology, chemical ecology, and fossil frogs.
